Scope of Work for SAP BASIS Consultant (Cross Application)
Major duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate are to work with the Authority’s system management team to:
1. Operations and Support.
- Assist in the maintenance and management of the IT infrastructure for ES(Logs) Development, Quality Assurance and Training systems.
- Perform daily inspection on the ESPO Data Centre facilities. Monitor backup jobs. Perform data housekeeping for all ES systems.
- Monitor error logs and progress of outstanding tasks to be completed by the vendor or users. Ensure timely and complete resolution of such tasks.
2. SAP BASIS Support.
- Provide System and Technical support services which cover troubleshooting and rectifying of technical issue raised by users. Perform impact assessment for any changes required.
- Monitor and perform daily SAP Transport for ES(Logs) Development, QA and Training system landscape via Solution Manager (SolMan) Change Request Management (ChArm) functionalities.
- Manage user account, import filters and maintain templates and reports in ARIS 7.2 / ARIS 9.x business server.
- Install, configure and manage HANA equipment / appliances.
- Collect system performance statistics, system usage information and analyse defect trends for system health reporting and meetings.
3. SAP System Upgrades / Patching.
- Perform system upgrade or patch systems components (include upgrade and security patching of the OS and related supporting components).
4. Documentation and Reporting.
- Submit monthly progress reports to the Authority, highlighting system health status, issues and recommendation for follow-up.
- Ensure user requests including Service Request workflows are adhered to by users and that related documents are updated and disseminated. Update technical documentations related to operations and support.
- Ensure third party contractor conformance to established policies, standards and SOPs (including program, documentation and transport request).
- Propose, document and implement improvements to the current work processes for better efficiency.
5. Manage Problem Reports (PR) / Service Requests (SR).
- Investigate operational issues and track system defects reported by users. Provide SR impact assessment and ensure prompt resolution is provided by the respective software / hardware vendors to the defects reported and, prompt clarifications are provided.

Education Qualification
The candidate should possess a Degree in Computer Science, Information System, Engineering or Equivalent.
Required Competencies
- Experience in IT infrastructure, systems implementation and support.
- Good knowledge and skillset in the following platforms and applications:
- SAP Systems installation, configuration, upgrade, patching, administration and monitoring (SAP NetWeaver 7.x, SAP Solution Manager 7.x, GRC 10.x, SAP ECC 6.0).
- Database (SAP HANA, ORACLE, MS SQL, MAX DB, Sybase Database etc).
- Operating Systems (Windows Server 2008/2012/2016, Windows 7/8/10, AIX, HPUX, Red Hat Linux and Solaris).
- Microsoft Applications (Exchange 2010/2013, Lync 2013, Active Directory, System Center Suite).
- Management Tools (HPSM, HPOM, HPOMI, HPSA, SCCM, WSUS and SCOM, SCVMM, SMSM, SMO).
- Virtualization Platform (VMware, Hyper-V, IBM PureFlex). vii. Storage and Backup (EMS, Symantec NetBackup, SAP HANA, IBM FlashSystem V7000/V9000).
- ARIS Business Server, ARIS Business Architect/Designer 7.x/9.x.
- Technical documentation with minimal supervision and within an agreed deadline.
- Web Tools (Weblogic 11G, F5 Load Balancer, Proxy/Reverse Proxy Setup, Apache, IIS, SAP).
- IT Security Hardening on Windows Server 2008/2012/2016, AIX, HPUX, Red Hat Linux and Solaris.
- Deploying of SAP Solution Manager 7.x with Change Request Management (ChaRM) on disconnected network.
- Various methodology of SAP system cloning / copy (Heterogeneous / Homogeneous).
- SAP backup and restore procedures for database-specific and OSspecific systems.
- Good planning and coordination skills.
- Strong writing, verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Good team player, responsible and conscientious.
- Resourceful, independent, responsive and pro-active.
Required Working Experience
- At least 4 years of working experience in IT infrastructure, systems implementation and support; of which at least 2 years of working experience in SAP BASIS.
- Working experience in the following:
- Various methodologies of SAP system cloning / copy (Heterogeneous / Homogeneous).
- SAP backup and restore procedures for database-specific and OSspecific systems.
Security Clearance Requirement
The candidate is required to be a Singaporean and he / she will be subject to security clearance. The Supplier shall provide all necessary information requested by the Authority to facilitate security clearance.
